Rev couter issue – GT125R

Hi All,
I’m currently tackling the g125r 2012 project, and the issue I see that I will have to dig into in my next stage after I fix carbs, is the rev counter.
The problem I see is that it activates on the key switch, goes from zero to the top and back as it should; however, when I manage to start the bike, it doesn’t read engine RPM.
Would anyone have any suggestions to fix this issue?

Check the yellow wire from behind the dash itself, it’s yellow with a black line on it, follow it all way down to your harness , then same wire appears at the front coil , likely harness issue.
