Rev counter needle – GV125-S EFi

Hey,
So I was riding down the A15 yesterday going around 65mph when I noticed the rev counter needle go beyond 12000rpm… The bike was obviously not doing 12000rpm… When I arrived at my destination and switched the engine off the needle stayed around 10000… On my ride home it seemed as if 10000rpm was my new zero and the needle went around over the speedo display…
Any ideas on how I can reset the needle position?
