Bike Model = : Hyosung Aquila GV125S (2019)
Hello everyone,
I own a 2019 Hyosung Aquila GV125S (V-twin 125cc) and I’m trying to find out if anyone else has experienced this type of noise.
Symptoms:
A repetitive “tikitikitiki” / ticking / tapping noise coming from the engine area.
Noise does not disappear when pulling the clutch in, whether in neutral or with gear engaged while stopped.
It gets louder the longer I ride, especially when the engine is warm – sometimes it’s more noticeable than the engine sound itself.
It’s present both while riding and when stationary.
The bike runs fine otherwise, no power loss or starting issues.
Extra details:
This started to be noticeable after cleaning the throttle body (but it might have been there before and just became more audible).
Oil level and quality are fine.
The noise seems to come from the top or middle of the engine, not the gearbox.
Questions:
Has anyone else with a GV125S (or similar Hyosung V-twin) experienced this exact noise?
Was it valve clearance related, a worn bearing, or something else?
Is it normal for this model or should I get it adjusted/repaired?
I’ve attached a video/audio clip of the sound for reference. Any feedback or experiences are greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
