Hi i have a 2016 gtr the bike last week started spluttering and loosing power top end it was juddering higg soeed but it pulled through but got worse over time after i changed to a rectifier upgrade, at top end the bike started spluttering a few days later, so i changed the spark plugs to ix after it was spluttering to 7k idle and 3k revs moving with cr8e it was before the ix plugs
Iv cleaned the jets aswell
(realised they need to go to cr9e instead of ix as forgot they dont like ix plugs)
Thinking the ht leads.could be the issue i changed the ht leads coils and to the ix plugs it goes to 9k not 13k revs but still doesnt have any power after 3k revs each gear and just splutters and doesnt pull through, could it be my fuel pump clogged maybe Or dirty fuel filter??? as it doesnt seem like its the leads plugs or coils
I know the bike has standard pipes cut before the cat with a 38-51mm linkpipe but the bike idling will cut out after 10-20 minutes aswell.
I mean i shall change the fuel pump fuel lines… i will change the stator to the upgrade version
but i think it could be the answer as i think its the stator and the rectifier go hand in hand

CR8E is the correct plug = It will hate CR9E a lot. No IX they hate it. Just keep it basic CR8E , if it won’t run on a factory CR8E plug, there is bigger issues likely compression problems and valves too tight.
Yes the stator & RR will make the ignition coils go funny at times
There is a guide on the forum called “Battery Test” , follow it and there is a picture inside on how to test the Stator , Coils , Caps and report the figures here.
Either way get the engine compression checked and clearances checked it will save a lot of headache later
Upgrading fuel parts just makes it easier to send fuel to carbs and run a bit smoother at higher gears if the bike is fuel starved before but as before focus on the engine first.

Iv changed pretty much everything minus the stator but the bike sounds like its firing on one cylinder and wont fire up now, so im thinking on buying a new engine at this point as its going to be cheaper
