New member needs a bike

Hi.

My Name is Greg and I am from Sunderland, Tyne & Wear.

I am a returning motorcyclist and I am very interested in the ST7.  I have read reviews, seen pictures and the ST7 seems like a great bike at a good price. The problem is I’ve not actually seen one in the flesh (or metal), let alone ridden one.  I thought it would be an easy task to go to a dealer, look one over, have a sit on it and maybe take it for a test ride.

WRONG

My local dealer stocks the smaller bikes but said he will only get an ST7 into the shop if I pay in advance. If I knew 100% that this is the bike for me, I would do so but this seems a trifle risky. Surely no-one would buy any vehicle unless they had at least seen one first.

I have contacted several of the other dealers within 150 mile radius but I have not been able to find any new or used examples.  I am hoping that some of the other members may be able to recommend a good dealer that has one in the showroom, or maybe someone has an ST7 that they want to sell.

I wait in hope of a response.

Sorry for the late reply, I shared your Wanted post on Facebook also.

I am still compiling a list on this website of all UK dealers  (as i know some places aren’t doing a full range apparently now)

Can you also have a ring at Startrights Leeds ? They are the oldest hyosung dealer and can import pretty much most hyos. I’ve had to wait 2 weeks to get a new bike from spain (not a hyosung) but   as for live example i have not seen one personally.

 

1 member on Facebook acquired an St7 this year. i’ve asked him about his local dealer. See if he replies back.

 

Checking HowManyLeftUK website shows end of 2017 ,  there is 20 ST7s on road, since 2016 , i see its gaining some traction.

More 650/ST7s the better in my eyes anyway!

Is for one in Wigan which according to google maps is approx 140 miles from Sunderland

I know this might seem far but its brand new no mileage and has been reduced by £700  so thought it might be worth sharing with you

Hi,

Thank you to those members that suggested where I might locate an ST7. I have since put down a deposit on a Triumph Street Twin. I really would have liked to have pursued the ST7 avenue. At a later date if they become more available I will look into it again.
