Hi, i have this problem with my hyosung that, if i travel at 100 km/h in about 5-10 minutes the bike starts dying, almost as it dosen’t have enough fuel. if i press in the clutch as this happens, the bike dies, and i have difficulties starting it up again. i think maybe it is the fuel pumps fault. i ride a Hyosung GT125R comet 2007 model, carburated, so the fuel pump goes on vacuum. does any one know if i it is the fuel pumps fault? or something else? thanks for SERIOUS replies

It may be from blocked petrol tank cap, when it is about to dye or before ride trying to open the cap and let some air in if it does not dye it would be the cap preventing air into the tank causing a vacuum.

Moved to “Technical”.
If you also go for a fast sprint, then all of a sudden the bike comes to a halt.  Attack these below:
– Fuel Pump (open it, check for dirt)
– Clogged Carbs (plugs will look glazed white if its too lean to run top gear all the time)
– Because of leaning running (i hope not), the plugs will go as hot as they can then they slow the bike down by force.
– Check that floats are 7mm tall , crucial for everything. (Carb will be upside down on table & measure float height)
– Check vacuum system is tight and good (Intake O Rings, Intake Pipes,  Vacuum Lines)
(makes it very hard to start 125cc Hyosungs with air leaks)
– If you filter is old, consider changing it, it may reduce fuel flow if its bad.Let’s try these , before attacking anything else on the bike. Good luck and let us know.

Thank you for all the helpful tips! i have already checked the carb and fuel pump, i have also replaced the fuel filter. i haven’t checked all the vacuum lines, so there might be a leak somewhere. i’ll be sure to check that as well.
Thanks again for the help, i’ll be sure to let you know if it worked đ
