Hello,
I recently got a 2008 Hyosung GT250 motorcycle from my neighbor. He informed me that the ISC (Idle Speed Control) solenoid was broken, so he ordered a new one. However, after installing the replacement, we discovered that the ISC solenoid positions are reversed compared to what’s described in the manual.- When the ignition switch is “OFF,” the ISC solenoid appears in the “ON” position.
- When the ignition switch is “ON,” the ISC solenoid appears in the “OFF” position.
I’ve attached an image from the manual showing the correct positions for reference.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Could this be due to a wiring issue, or is the replacement ISC solenoid itself faulty? Do I need to buy another new ISC solenoid, or is there a way to fix this?
Thank you for your help!

If it is brand new and its gold tip hasn’t popped off , then keep it inside the grey metal shell (if it came with one) or put it back inside the airbox and see what happens to it?
I don’t expect any issues if its brand new though?
I imagine you have a SENTEC ECU as your post says 2008 (though some countries had a Daewoo ECU a little earlier than 2009) – I really hope the ECU is OK!

Thanks, my motorcycle is in storage over winter and I will not be able to double check everything until next weekend.
