Hi everyone,
Turns out the comet has an intake leak. Looked at the intake rubbers and they are cracked/dry rotted. I took the liberty of putting a layer of RTV silicone over the tubes as to fix any small leaks (some forums say this works) however after letting it cure and testing with some carb cleaner I still have a small leak somewhere. The problem has gotten better but its still not perfect/back to how it was before I started fiddling. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to go about leak hunting?

On ebay, i advised on the intake o-rings also , unless you are sure the intake-orings are not caked up ?

Lots of orders, forgive the limited brain capacity for memories! – That’s good!
