Hello to everyone! I’m from north east England and I am in the process of buying an Hyosung ST7 – the rather stylish cruiser motorcycle. It is something of a ‘project’ as the starter clutch has failed, so it will not start, but the bike looks to be in good overall condition with a relatively low mileage for an engine of this size. The replacement part is included in the sale, and looking on YouTube, the work does not look too difficult to complete at home, although I will need to obtain the special extractor tool before commencing any work on the bike. I’ve already downloaded the owner and workshop manuals. The tricky bit now, is making some space in my garage for yet another motorcycle, as I already own an LML scooter, a couple of SYM joyride’s and a Sachs 650 Roadster!
This will be my first Hyosung motorcycle, although I have owned some twenty years previously, two Hyosung Grand Prix 125 scooters. They were comfortable, relaxing automatic bikes, well-built and nicely finished, albeit quite slow to ride even for a 125cc!
Should the purchase go ahead, this will be a leisurely winter project with the aim of getting the motorcycle roadworthy for the spring. I am hoping to upload some pictures of the work in progress, a sort of step-by-step guide for anyone that may find it of use.
I have tried to upload a basic picture, but it keeps saying ‘error, try later’!
Regards to all,
Geoffrey

Thanks Simon, that’s good to know and as I have a garage to work-in and a reasonable range of tools I should be OK!

Strange, I just uploaded a picture (site logo above), it appeared fine , i was using a desktop PC. Can you try again ? And was this on the phone? which one? = Sorry to ask , it helps me diagnose and try to replicate the error on my end and fix it.
Other than that, welcome to the site. I can tell by your excitement for the ST7 , you want the day to happen now. I say go get her and never sell her! I don’t have an ST7 but i have a GV and GT myself , I can wholly agree the GV is very comfy , almost like being on a big scooter sometimes.
Let us know how it goes.
You will be loved for making tutorials on whatever you do to the Hyosung , i’ll share them every chance i get when on social media , to drive traffic back to this site. Sometimes asking for help on social media can be a cesspool, so i’d rather digress on here in a structured way so to speak lol.

Thanks Marcel. I’ve now paid for the bike and am in the process of arranging a courier to collect it from north Wales and deliver it to Durham, probably next week, so quite excited, and I will be spending some time now re-arranging my garage!
Regarding photos, I was using a desktop PC and I’ve just tried it again – add media – upload files – select files (small picture), it looks to be uploading but then a message box comes up on right corner, stating error, try again later.

You can try now 👍 – Will keep an eye as i re-code certain aspects of the site as it is going through a database upgrade @marcel
