Hi Forum after a really hot day where i drove about 40 km at speeds between 80-150 km/h, when i reached home and stopped at a red light, i saw the heat indicator rising really fast to the point where it was overheating. The cooling fan didnt switch on and the FI lamp then turned on. i havent driven the bike since but ive tried to see if i could sort the problem out,
When i turn on the bike the lamp turns on after around 5-10 sec. and if i try to rev the bike it turns off in an instant. i havent been able to find which connector i should short to get it into dealer mode and get the fault code reading so im pretty stumbed at the moment.
I got the bike really cheap and its been running okay for an older used bike, but after this heatwave it couldnt handle it.
i hope to get some help from you lovely people. Cheers.

Turn the key On/Off 3x or 5x OR Turn Key on –> Then press kill switch 3-5x times quickly and wait for the red Fi light to flash.
Count the sequences and let us know ?
Eg. 5 blinks , pause, 4 blinks , pause , 6 blinks = Bike said Error is 5-4-6 , it will repeat itself. Or it will pause for longer , then send out another error code (if 2 devices are at fault or need attention)

I got the fault code c24 so I checked the front ignition coil and it wasn’t connected, I connected it and it fixed the problem!
my next problem is that its not charging the battery when I’m riding… any pointers to what the problem may be?

Rectifier issues or the stator is wanning. Get a pocket meter and test your stator according to the service manual instructions. Stator first, check, then check RR
Sometimes a new RR (Reg Reg) gets cooked by a failing old stator, also open the casing to make sure the windings didn’t get burnt out drain oil first

Found the cables from the rectifier, two of them were damaged. I fixed the problem and got 0 issues now 😁
