I think the tanks off an 05 GT, the fuel level sensor wires only had 2 but my 125 wiring had 3, I missed the yellow wire on the connector and it doesn’t register anything. I wasn’t expecting this to work but does anyone have any ideas?
I have switched my cluster to a mk1 bandit one, I’m sick of buying clocks for them to break again and luckily they run the same size front wheel. Luckily this has gone really well but I’m left with a spare light for the oil does a light come on on the 250 does anyone know for the fuel when it runs low? I was thinking of using this light for that if so.
If memory serves the tank came off a fully unfaired bike on analogue clocks…

Hyosung only uses 2 wires for every fuel sensor they make (any model) , its always a grey-black wire and yellow-black wire (or just yellow ish) for fuel level. Not clued up on bandit clocks there, so you have to check Gixxer forums for clock wiring diagrams , that includes the speed sensor.
125/250 do not use oil level lights or temp gauge , it’s turned off the chip and no wires for it in the harness or even ports for it on the engine.
Only 250 EFi gets Temp Sensor in front head strictly tells the ECU (not the rider) so you will never know what temp the engine is, you have to go custom route there yourself.
650cc hyos are the ones who get user-displayed temp sensor as there is fan & switches around the radiator and thermostat. No oil level indicator , just manually checking the sight glass instead.

Weird, I went out and checked it all and here as far as I am aware this tank definitely came off a Hyosung GT250 and it looks like a Hyosung float.
The connector is coming down from the tank, I naturally cut this off and connected the yellow and black as the 125 had yellow and black – They are definitely the same type of connector it’s just one has an extra pin.
Looks factory, the second picture is my old tank that only has 2 wires from the sender? but the 250 tank definitely has 3 π
Apologies I got the colours wrong, I have connected exactly the same as the other tank it was a bit ago now I’ve had a few dinners since then.

Found one on ebay that looked like it has 3 but I think it’s 2, I have found another that looks similar for a GA but iirc the bottom of the sender was round and not oval…
Weird, definitely looks factory I didn’t wanna take it out with it being old and mess up the seal.
Found one where they look the same Part number: 34810HN9101

The only thing I can think of is it’s a signal wire when it’s running low but other than that idk, the tank could of come off a digital dash bike but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t when I looked at the pictures.
I’ve looked up the part number and this tank was definitely NOT off an EFI bike (there’s no internal pump), I wonder if the float was changed though now for an EFI one before it went to the breakers

Also just to touch on the clocks I’m using, I’m using mk1 bandit clocks which use the analogue speed cable I haven’t had to worry about anything in terms of wiring.
Both wheels are 17″ and run 110/70 tyre (600 only, 1200 uses 120) so the gearing should be the same and register the same speed I’ve tested this a little with rev matching in top gear and it seems to be correct – I’m using the hyo tacho.
The only issues I ran into was the little rubber gromets for the bulbs were a little smaller on the high beam and neutral cluster but other than that the bulbs are similar if not the same, one’s too big for the speedo housing but I just used the fuel level one for now until I can be bothered to switch it over.
