Headlight issue on 2006 Gt250r

Hi everyone,
this is my first post of I’m sure many.
I have just recently purchased a gt250r and the headlight was damaged, I purchased a second hand one. The low beam works however only the top light works of the two and the high beam will only work with the flash button. I am having a hard time trying to find what is causing the issue. If anyone has any ideas that would be awesome!also has anyone has the fairings and fuel tank painted, if so how much was it? I’m from Australia

Have you checked the headlight relay unit ? (the relay is near the battery = older model , or if your bike is a newer model , it will be on the LEFT pillion cover inside.)
Also check the left switch gear inside for corroded contacts and also the yellow plug of the switch gear going in to the harness
