GV650 EFI Exhaust Muffler Red Hot

Hi All,

2014 GV650 EFi – after a short ride, the standard muffler was hot.. really hot, glowing red inside, discoloured chrome on the outer cover.. had been running a little rough too..

This bike has had the baffle chopped in the past, so my question is, where is the best place to start?

Are you able to show us what your spark plugs look like ?

How are your lambda sensors looking ?

Lsstly, has the engine been overheating in anyway generally ?  (Temp Bars on LCD screen always in the red?) – Try Motul Factory Line Coolant

I have this same issue

.. short ride it glowing red hot .. now silencer is discolored and absolutely no power .. hardly reaching 80 itself
