Does anyone know how many safety switches there are on the gv125? I’m aware of the sidestand. I’m currently not able to start the bike. Have plenty of power. Fuel pump primes but nothing happens when pressing the starter

Clutch Switch , Neutral Sensor , RO Sensor (Roll Over Sensor) , Magneto Pulse Trigger (part of the stator unit)

Thanks, Marcel. Where would you start if the sidestand switch has been cleaned and still isn’t working? I’ve had this problem before and it was as easy as blasting the sidestand switch with brake cleaner.

Stand Switch would be #1 and then replacing the Clutch Switch (would not bypass it) as if the ECU thinks you’re holding the clutch all the time , it might get funny as I can’t fully confirm how much Hyosung has programmed their ECU to depend on user actions (rather than bypasses)
If you said GV125 carb model = it would not matter as Hyosung didn’t always include stand switches or clutch switches , they didn’t matter too much. Also in my experience one of my bikes was in NEUTRAL (according to the dash) and i pushed start , it rolled and fell down , so false neutrals are rare and can happen , hence “hold clutch in” before starting is enforced on these 2018+ new models of bikes coming out now.
Neutral Switch , complicated as it is also a gear counter, so i would not mess with it. ECU may read what gear you’re in to optimize ignition behavior etc

Appreciate it. Had a look for a replacement switch but couldn’t find anything. Sourcing parts for this bike is hard

I got her bumpstarted. Does this mean that the safety switches haven’t failed?

How did you bump start it ?
And for parts = working on it. Look out for bits being displayed on the shop as i now have extra supply chain links to get stuff without depending on South Korea all the time. keeps us on the road sooner.

Rolled her downhill in 2nd gear.
I’ll keep looking.

Suspecting Stand , Clutch and RO Sensor but could be all 3 at once , working on getting those myself
Neutral should be fine if you can see gear numbers or the green N sign, if its make sure the plug or wires don’t get damaged , wet season now!

Please let me know if you source spares. I’ve only seen hyospares but I’m aware that they’re scammers

We got you , just keep an eye on shop , or send an email if you don’t see the part you want and I will verify if we had any luck in the supply chain.
I will try though!

Can order one for you but likely will mean you get to try a new aftermarket version we are looking to stock-up soon, so we don’t always depend on UK dealers as they can’t even keep up, there is hundreds of GVs on the road . Just send us an email.

i think i may have found a replacement. It’s meant to be for Lexmoto. Looks exactly the same

That’s a gamble , as Hyosung gets its switches made by company called LAFANSAN (“LS”logos on your switch) – LS also make some of Hyosung’s electrics like stators & flywheels , CDI units for carb model since 2012 (they mould the switches to fit your GV-S Clutch Mounts and Brake Mounts) , our own testing is from a Honda this time but currently will try with another rider also before going public and stocking it.
Your lexxy switch could be a gamble but maybe a temp fix to keep you going. keep us posted and stay safe on the ice!

I’ll try one of your honda replacements if you need me to test. What’s the best way of getting payment to you?

Yes, but 2 of them already are gone, so we just have to order another one. It’s a gamble on our end too , but hey sometimes trial & error makes the shop trusted by other garages too.
Can’t keep depending on official importers anymore, there is hundreds of GVs on UK roads as i said before and no one wants to wait weeks for local dealer to replace a part for them.contact us here to discuss any orders privately:
