Hey,
I just picked up a 2009 gt250 Carby and plan on turning this into my daily for a while, lately the bike went from starting fine evry time, to it will run the battery dead trying to start it regarldess how you set the choke, soooo i plan on replacing the rectifier with a uprated or equivalent, and since i got the bike down for a few i planned on filters and jetting it, can any 1 suggest any parts that i could swap out or upgrade to make it a more dependable daily driver? Im not overly familiar with hyosung or whats avalible for these bikes.
Thanks guys/gals!!!

Welcome to the site fella,
Before we get to the electronics, lets go straight to the core engine itself.
– How old is it ? Total lifetime miles?
– Have the valve clearances been done in the last 4000 miles (very very, important)
– Have you done a compression test ? = Low psi will make it hard to start & generally runs rough sometimes while riding.// Meditation doesn't mean you have to sit still....

Hey,
Sorry its taking me awhile to reply it wasnt letting me log in to my account but yeah
Its a 2009 hyo comet gt250
2,000 miles on the odometer
I bought the bike when it had 1500miles and when and got it, and checked at 1800miles the valves, compression, battery and charging system and carbs cleaned.
Bascially i figured out the bike is a decent bike overall and ill being just be using it a as commuter, biggest problem im having is finding info and parts, im just going through it replacing maitnece parts but cant find sources or reviews thats not in a differnt language, soooo any suggestions on a good quality chain, or aftermarket parts in genral?

The GT650 shock is a direct fit, also HAGON UK makes shocks for the 650, so it fits the 250 fine.
Also look for older Bandit Bikes , they fit the hyosung swing arm, pre-2005 era im sure. Personally i am still on the same shocks as they came with the factory both GT and GV i own, i just adjusted them to hardest setting that’s all. been good for few years now.
