Hi everyone,
does anyone know if the front master cylinder for the gt250 comet and gt250r is different between models? I swapped the front calipers off the 250r onto my 250 comet (originally only single caliper) and have kept the original master cylinder with twin lines from the cylinder to the calipers. This setup works ok-ish however braking performance leaves a lot to be desired. Anyone know anything I could do to improve it?

The GT250 Naked uses 1/2 or 3/4 piston due to it having a single disc.
The GT250R uses a 650R master cylinder that has a 5/8 piston to be able to brake 2 discs.
So if you want to use 2 discs , get the 250R cylinder (which borrows from the 650R anyways)

Pardon my ignorance, but would any 5/8 inch aftermarket master cylinder do (axial or radial) or does it have to be an OEM 650R master cylinder? I also assume the lever would bolt straight on and all I would require is the master cylinder itself?
Thank you for the info btw massive help in wrenching on these bikes.

any 5/8 cylinder or any honda/kawasaki bike that has 2 discs locally in your area. Use their lever and their cylinder.
Hyosung levers usually want Hyosung cylinders
just run away from aliexpress or ebay fakes , your brakes are very important!
