Gt125r engine in a gv125

1. Managed to strip second gear, do I take apart the engine and replace the cogs In the gear box or do I just swap the engine out and if so can I use a gtr engine?
   only asking beacuse I can’t find a carbed gv engine

Yes GT125R all years until 2020 use carbs and engines robbed from the  GV125 Aquila.   So yes your GT engine will fit inside the GV Aquila Carb model.

Just the 2020+ GV125 EFi   (the new model bobbers)  have a totally different engine & use fuel injectors now.
