Hi, at start I’m sorry for my bad English. I have problem with my GT: it has no power, in neutral gear the engine can go up to 8k rpm and this is the max it cannot get more, when I ride at any gear it can go 7k rpm max and it accelerates very slow, when I go uphill it’s 5,5-6k rpm but when I switch the gear to lower (for example from 3 to 2) the rpms go above 7k but the motorcycle slows down to 7k rpm again. It doesn’t matter if I spin the gas manipulator in 1/3 range, half or full. My top speed is around 60 km/h. At idle the engine works pretty well. My moto is imported from Germany and it has the power limiters on carbs and exhaust but before it was able to go up to the rev limiter on 1,2,3 gears and it had great reaction for spinning the throttle. I really don’t know what happened… Could someone help me?

Check compression on both cylinders…
Old and grumpy,(?), have fairly wide engine & tuning experience, "restoring/resto-mod" on cars & mc, worked as electronic tech. (retired).
GT125R - sold. New (used): 2012-GT250R-efi (sold)+ 2017-GV-125C (sold) - got my old 2018-GT-125R back... 🙂

If you touch the exhaust-outlets (close to heads) with a very wet rag, or squirt water on the manifolds, do they seem similar hot?
(a compression-test will tell more…)
BTW, as far as I know… NO Hyo with carbs have a rev-limiter… other than floating valves, and crashing them into pistons, if you try hard.

By saying rev limiter I meant nearly end of red line.
I’m starting to feel the fuel pump is broken. When you pull the gas to nearly full then to zero-position and fast pull it again the rpms are getting higher for a moment at neutral. When you ride and do the same thing i feel the engine pulls for a short moment then again no power (I don’t know how to say it, again bad English)
Tomorrow I will check the back cylinder spark plug, airbox and I will try to skip the fuel pump

I think I solved the problem. The fuel pump works well. Carburetor was soooo dirty and one of the throttles was blocked (that second type, not the spinning one) I cleaned it all and tomorrow I will mount it on the bike and see if that was the problem. BTW do you know how to take off the power limiters from the version for Germany? I live in Poland and we don’t have to lock the top speed to 80 km/h.
