Can anyone help locating a stator in the United States for a 2017 GD250R? The part number is 32101HD8500. From what I can tell, this stator is unique to the GD250R. The GD250N may have the same stator with a different connector at the end. ( I am ok with one of these and swapping the connector.)
Or does anyone know of a supersede part number or generic alternative that works?
I bought the bike not running. When I opened the stator cover I found that the 3 bolts holding the flywheel to the starter clutch all snapped off. The heads of the bolts were rattling around and grinding down the copper coils on the stator.
Thanks.

Have you tried WhyGoStock company in USA? They are a hyosung dealer who may be quicker. I sell stators but i have yet to find an upgrade version due to strange connectors Hyosungs. Although ill be doing a regulator upgrade for it shortly as the OEM regulators are hot fire hazards.
Any stators i get for the GD usually comes with a flywheel that cant be separated in the bundle.
No other Hyosung works but you can use the Naked sister’s parts yes since R & N models share the same engine & ecu

Whygostock has inflated pricing on this part. It is less expensive to order directly from Korea and wait a week. Plus, they only offer the stator bundled with the flywheel, which I do not need. This is a side project bike I am working on. Not in a rush and need to keep costs down. Once I get a stator and can actually start the bike, I have no idea if it has other issues.

I have an update on this project. The original stator was rebuilt by Rick’s Motorsport Electrics in New Hampshire. It was a bit costly but now that they have done their first one for this model the subsequent pricing will be less. When the stator went back in the bike I found out that the stater was no good. I get 12V at the starter lug when I hit the start button and the starter clicks but does not spin. I disassembled it and everything looks good. The brushes are not worn and nothing is broken or burnt. Even off the bike and bench testing it with a power supply it only clicks. It must be a bad unit. The OEM part # is 31100HC8100. I believe this is also a part that it is not shared with other models besides GD250R and GD250N. There are several Suzuki starters that look identical but without exact measurements I cannot be sure. I am back here asking if anyone has experience replacing this starter with a anything other than the Hyosung part?
This bike came to me with under 1,700 miles and a salvage title. Except for the stator (and now the starter) all of the damage was superficial. The air filter is clean. I replaced the spark plug and changed the oil/filter with the stator. I tried charging the battery and replaced it with a new one. My investment in this is still low and I would like to keep it that way by not spending top dollar on a starter. At least until I can get the bike running and registered. For now I am looking for an inexpensive alternative just to get the bike started.

The starter motor’s body was a hyosung creation to make it fit on the GD engine as it is one of a kind, but i can’t “confirm” if it is possible to use the “internal parts” off the GT250R , or 650 or the MS3 scooter. The MS3 is very rare now but shares maybe one or two parts with the GD250 , such as exhaust sensor but for everything else, I personally did not do any detailed comparisons between the MS3 & GD250 as no one was interested , so I did not bother but my memory is faint. It’s just an idea
If not, look for a shop locally that can rebuild starter motors for you on a lower cost until you can get a new one.
