Hey guys.
Have me a GA125 F which I bought over a month ago and thus far have loved the bike.
A perfect little thing to get me back into biking and since had already done quite a bit of work on it, however have ran into an issue recently.
Filled up at a local garage whilst on my way to work one morn, and since the bike had been sputtering or trying to bog down and eventually started dying.
Me being me, hadn’t noticed it at the time but ended up filling with E10 instead of E5 and whilst the bike still ran on E10 it wasn’t without its issues so, what I have done…
- Drained the fuel off
- Taken the petcock off & gave it a clean
- Taken the carb off and gave that a clean
- Changed coil (old one had burnt out)
- Threw a new spark plug on
- Reinstalled the cab & petcock
- Checked and cleaned air filter
- Checked fuel tank (rust inside)
Now, the carb has fully been cleaned lf gunk as has the petcock though i am still having issues.
There is fuel getting to it for a start, though whether it’s enough or not idk and there is also air getting to it too.
It’ll start cold even on the choke and will idle for about 2-3 mins before it dies, when started back up again the RPM needle will go haywire as it attempts to idle then dies again.
Would suggest its running lean right?
I can get it running, and have ridden it down to the garage this morn to top up with fuel which is good however it died once again as soon as I got home.
It sputters still, and dies when hot though wouldn’t start up when hot.
It also fails to idle when I come to a stop at junctions or lights, despite keeping the revs up.
No idea what is up, doesn’t make sense to me as I’ve tried about everything I could think of to fix the issue.

You have blocked jets in the carb most likely ultrasonic cleaning is really the only way to clean them properly as the little galleries that feed the jets get muck in them as well

I’d have thought this as well though I had cleaned out the jets whilst I cleaned the carb, or so I’d think.
Blew any crap inside of them out with an air hose before putting it all back together -

Also check your ignition caps (they are known to crack off under heat), you will want NGK ones tbh.
And ignition coil (common) but check primary & secondary resistance values and let us know
