Ever since I bought the bike there’s the F1 light. I want to diagnose it but the manual is not helping me because I have no idea which port to “couple” to get the dash code. If anyone could show me how to do this step by step with pictures if possible, like which part it is under the rear seat. I’m kind of desperate. Bike runs fine, injectors checked, oil filter changed, fuel lines checked, full servicing done, new spark plugs, replaced old with new genuine idle sensor. Bike starts, runs and idles but hesitates at high rpm as in it gets to 7k/8k smoothly, stays there for a bit (with full throttle), then suddenly climbs and bike suddenly accelerates, however it revs smoothly and freely until redline in neutral. Only happens in gear when riding. Also takes a bit of cranking to start, maybe around 5 seconds.

Forgot to mention, bike ran through entire rpm range when bought, it slept for many months because I got scammed by a painter, then I brought the bike to a really good mechanic to get everything checked, F1 light persists though, and still has the higher rpm issue under load issue. He told me to check forums and such because it is a really really rare bike here and barely anyone has worked on it.

The plug under the seat is a very small 2-pin one.
or Switch Key On/Off 3x quickly and WAIT….
Red light will flash, count the blinks and pauses , it is telling you a code.
Eg…..
10 blinks _pause_ 2 blinks _ pause 1 blink
(Then it repeats the same sequence) ==== This could example mean Injector #1 (Front) is faulty or has issue. with ECU
Sometimes you get
10-2-1
10-5-8Those 2 means Injector Fault and Side Stand Switch fault (2 different sequences = 2 different issues happening) , just an example!
The seat has a BLACK SHROUD with 2 plugs 4-pin and 2 pin
You have connected something to the 2-pin plug what is it ? It should be empty
The black-shroud hiding those 4pin & 2pin plugs is for diagnostics only.

Thanks for replying, no I have not connected these wires to the 2 pin one, they were likely there when I got the bike. The 4 pin one is empty. I’ll see if I can get the codes, thank you.

10 1 1 8
That’s the pattern I got, I let it repeat multiple times, there was this code, then a long pause, then this same code again, so I assume it’s the only code/ issue.
Can’t seem to find anything concrete about it online.
Can you advise please? Maybe to a link to get to the bottom of this.

Download the 250 EFi service manual onthe forum , then go to where it says error codes = Yours is C18 , it will tell you how to diagnose it the sensor
C18 = Intake air pressure sensor (Engine 2) (Likely the sensor on the throttle body for the rear engine)

Thanks so much, that rear cylinder was the culprit since the beginning. I’ll get this checked with my mechanic. Hopefully it’s more or less the end of my woes with this bike.
