Hyosung ST7 (GV700C) Cruiser Resources
The Hyosung ST7 (known as the GV700C Classic in the US/UK, GV650C in Australia, and GV700i in Europe) is a premium heavyweight cruiser with a dedicated cult following. Short-lived but highly regarded, it refined the classic styling of the GV250 into a full-sized touring platform. Below, you will find the essential technical documentation to maintain these fuel-injected V-twins.
ST7 Technical Data & Maintenance Specs
Unlike the standard GV650, the ST7 features an enlarged 678.2cc liquid-cooled 90° V-twin engine designed for increased low-end grunt and smooth cruising. It utilizes a Delphi Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system for reliable cold starts and consistent performance.
- Engine: 678cc DOHC 8-Valve V-Twin
- Power Output: ~63hp @ 8,000 RPM / 57Nm Torque
- Final Drive: Low-maintenance Belt Drive
- Oil Capacity: ~3,000ml (3.0L) with filter change
- Tyre Sizes: 120/80-16 (Front) | 170/80-15 (Rear)
Maintenance Note: The ST7 is often confused with the GV650 Sport cruiser; however, the ST7 uses different bodywork, a revised frame, and a larger bore for its 700-class displacement.
