Cruiser 2 125 – Throttle cable help

Hello all,

My hyosung cruiser 2 125 has been a delightful bike, until I needed to do some work on it. I took apart the carb, cleaned that fine, but when I went to re-attach the throttle cable I’ve hit a brick wall. The picture below is from the technical manual and I’ve circled the bit I’m struggling with. I just can’t understand how it’s supposed to fit onto the bike. Numbers 39/40/41 fit fine and the cable can be fitted with the approriate spring, but number 45 is beyond me.

Can anyone please provide any picture of their 125 throttle cable / carburetor connection? Every picture I see online has the kickstand lever in the way so I can’t visualise how it all fits.

I don’t have a picture but the throttle cable needs a “hook” the metal pieces you are trying to attach, then it hangs on the carb body as every hyosung carb i have own , its  “choke” and “throttle” assemblies are usually mounted to the exterior of the carb body  (that is assuming the last keepers didn’t bodge it!)
