      GV125 2016

My Hyosung is a thing of wonders. Dropped, thrashed and crashed, my trusty 125 has run up 8000 miles and still strong. She’s an insurance write off, Cat N, after being rear ended slowly last year.

The time has finally come where I am close to completing my A2 license. Theory and MOD 1 done, with my MOD 2 next week. I would look to sell my Hyosung as a runner, but with multiple issues (dodgy indicators, speedo doesn’t work, starter motor clunks up, valve timings need doing, hole in exhaust, front brake useless, rear brake also useless), it is just not worth my time to find a buyer stupid enough to take on such a heap of junk.

The intake manifolds are gorgeous, the engine components are wonderful, and many body parts and electrical parts are in good condition. The only value she holds currently is in spare parts.

Maybe the bike is of some interest to somebody, I will still be using it for the meanwhile, but if anybody is looking for a GV125 carby model parts bike, I got one. Let me know, I will check this forum every few days.

Been a pleasure being part of the Hyosung Owners Club. Thanks to Marcel and Simon for their useful help, and the many other replies I’ve had from owners in my posts over the years.

Oh no, it’s funny I have a gt250 efi proper sorted also a ktm 390 a suzuki 600 bandit a 1970 honda pf 50 & the crazy dax but the one bike I really would sorry to see the end of would be my little hyosung it’s a love hate relationship I love it but it seems to hate me sometimes. In 40+ years of riding just about everything I have never had another bike that I think so much of & I can’t explain why.

Oh thats not good, I do hope you were not hurt.  Sounds like your OK as you are still riding her.

What damage did she sustain? What the happened?

When you have passed A2 what are you looking at purchasing? Staying cruiser? I am shopping around as Das in August and have been looking at Honda Shadow or VLX, but I would like a 250 GV as I love my 125 so much.  Gv(C) has good riding position for tall riders, great looks and rides so well.  I have to agree with Simon somehow these Hyosungs are heart stealers.

Good luck with it all Moustache Man.

I’m  a bit sad you’re leaving haha, i though the bike would stay married to you even if as a winter hack ?

Keep the big toys in hibernation till next summer even.

Perharps a GV650 will tempt you ?  haha
