hello, i hope someone here can advise me, i read different things online!

i believe the karion 125 lost about 1 hp at some point due to the euro emissions rules?

anyone know what year this happened? and what was done to cause it?

i am assuming it was just a carburation change.

      many thanks.

      harry.

      For Euro3-4

      • Exhaust system
      • Carb Jetting & Mixtures
      • possibly air filter but it could be the same as previous models
      • CDI unit (spark timings)

      hi! thanks for the info.

i was just looking online and the 2008 model seemed to have a different engine (cylinder fins different and rocker box cover was square and flat) and was only about 8hp whilst the later models were about 14 hp (but eventually lost about 1hp due to euro 3/4).

      harry.

The RT early models used a SOHC engine stolen from the older Cruise2 Hyosung bikes.    Then Korea specifically made an updated engine for RX125 SM & RT125 D (D variant) to use DOHC black engines.

In fairness, the DOHC engine is better for it 🙂

thanks marcel, much appreciated have seen a black engined 2008 model (the seller insists it is 2008 but that could just be when it was first registered but is earlier model).

the rocker box cover or whatever you call it where you are! (the lid on the head!) is different to the the later models but is still, as far as i know, dohc. is this the less powerful engine?

      thanks again!

That would be the older SOHC model engine that’s in the frame i see there.

      Good infor Marcel

I bought this weekend a Karion and I was thinking it was missing the engine protection under frame, so my model is the first one.

Here there is another one for sale in Sweden
