Hi All, recently rebuilt the carb on my busted up GV125, and now it runs on the button but once on it will shoot up to around 8k rpm, at which point I switch it off. The throttle cable is currently disconnected but the throttle valves are shut. any ideas why is this happening?? thanks 🙂

Make sure the slides are fitted correctly sounds like you have one that’s not been installed right.

Sounds silly from me but is there any chance also the “Choke” is still active ? = More revs usually means bike is being feed extra fuel or air from somewhere even if you disconnect throttle cable.

Choke is filly closed, Ive disassembled it and am going to do a full rebuild, do you know the model of the Mikuni carb on the GV125? Ive looked all over for a model number or something. Thanks 🙂

BDS26 Twin Custom (As half the parts inside were fine tuned for Hyosung , even the choke rail + carb slides + floats + 1.2 size float seats etc , brackets to hold both carb cylinders, custom floats as Mikuni made for Hyosung bikes under OEM supply chain ) =
