Carb help – gt125r

First of all il like to say hello to everyone and then I need a little bit help possibly may be nothing but may always be a big thing my partner bought me a none runner gt125r for Christmas wanted one for 4 years since I stupidly got rid of my other 1 and I have basically got everything working and going (just waiting for tank petcock) then will be going for mot anyways sorry for waffling my question is in the carbs the is two pipes coming from it the bottom pipe (close to float covers ) is obviously the fuel pipe but there is another pipe joining the 2 carbs around the center of them that leads to nothing should this go somewhere or is it just a breather which someone told me it might be thanks to everyone for reading and to anyone who can help and I’ve trawled the internet for hours to no avail
