Hey all! First off Happy new year!
Ever since I got this 650 it’s had these aftermarket brake lever that hits the plastic. It hits hard enough to actually apply the brakes at full lock making it hard to roll around and it’s now unfortunately scratched the plastic.
I’ve rotated it as far down as it will go but now the reservoir hits the top triple clamp and still hits the plastic but not as bad
The clutch lever would also hit but I’ve managed to rotate that to a position it cantI’ve read somewhere that Hyosung used different levers or something after a certain year? And I had a quick look on eBay all the levers I can find list 650 only up to 2009 not 2010 onwards. Coincidence?
Do I have a different master cylinder that requires a different style brake lever to not hit? (It’s the “adjustable” part that hits, the bit that the spring is under, you can see it poking out near the pivot point)
Thissss was close to just dropping a bunch of cash on a new master with remote resivoir, domino quick throttle and an easy pull clutch lever with new slim switch blocks to match just to solve this one minor issue and give it a birthday

Push the master cylinder further AWAY from the throttle switch gear.
Ie…. [top yoke]____[cylinder]___[switch gear]
Then push it away from the switch like so…
[top yoke][cylinder]___[switch gear]Once done, rotate the cylinder FORWARD towards the front tyre , but leave clearance by about 1mm margin, so it will be tight..but hopefully this should help.
The only leaver that requires no messing around is Korea’s approved XRT Levers (XRT is based in Korea & are the “official” accessories maker for the GT bikes) but costly though!

I’ve already done that, I physically cannot move it further inwards or rotate it further down

If you look at your current lever vs the XRT ones , you will see the XRT as actually better for the GT bikes with the Gen1 fairing. For Gen2 (2012+) , your lever wouldn’t really bother them that’s why. I’ve yet to find a brand that does better than XRT,
Unless you go use Pazzo levers and master cylinders used on Hondas (expect trial & error!)
