My name is Paul and I am a new member of this platform.
I have had this bike (GV250 2013 FI) for about six months, and the odometer now reads 26,095 kilometers. I do not have a good service record from the previous owner but from my experience, he did not take good care of it.
Below are my challenges that I request your support with:
Steep Climbs
For a few times while at steep climbs, the bike stalls as I let go of the clutch lever and I ease into throttle and throws and FI alarm. It seamlessly restarts right after and usually does not stall for the reminder of the journey.
Long idle time in traffic jam
After about 5-10 minutes of idling in traffic jam, the bike stalls when I attempt to set off in the first gear and throws an FI alarm. The flash code for this scenario is exactly the same as for steep climbs.
I have the bike service manual, but I am only a rider with very limited service knowledge and I have failed to interpret the fault code from the FI flash sequence.
All assistance is much appreciated.
The video link to the FI flash sequence is here.

From your video , it says 2 flashes then 1 single flash = 2 _pause_1 is that right ?
Also what ECU is it using right now as 2013-2014 was the final year some countries were still using the infamous DAEWOO ECU and 2012 is the real year Hyosung started using a DELPHI ECUThen also try to unplug the battery for 24hrs (or overnight) then plug it back in, Turn the Key On. Dont start the bike. But flick the Kill Switch 3 times quickly , this should trigger a flashing sequence.
If not, it probably will flash when you ride (meaning a problem happened while riding)
Do you also get flashing red lights when riding yourself even if its brief ?

Hi Marcel,
Thank you for the swift response.
I have attached a visual on the exact sequence as I can see it in the link below.
The bike uses the Daewoo ECU.
I will unplug the battery, follow instructions and provide you with feedback,
The bike occasionally stalls but the FI led stays on and does not flash. On bridging the two contacts while in dealer mode, it always gives the flash sequence as previously shared.
Thanks, again.

From your google drive image , 2_1 , 2_1 ,2_1 in that sequence is = Intake air temperature sensor
This is the sensor on the airbox itself. To diagnose this, go back to the service manual and search “C21” code, there is a diagram they wrote on how to test this.
Also it would be very wise to get compressed air (air only!) and blow every connector on the bike clean, so you have to find a day where you strip the bike down and take your time, remember where everything was or label the plugs if you want.
No liquid cleaners on the ECU sockets whatsoever, that is the most sensitive and most infamous ECU that plagued the early Daewoo GV250 models, so much that Hyosung moved on and switched to the Delphi Electronics.
So look after that ECU like your life depends on it and if you have to , buy a few fork gaiters , yes fork gaiters , and use them to hide plugs away from exposures of the road / rain / salt etc..
Use a “tiny” drop of contact cleaner on every plug you find EXCEPT the ECU plug! – Leave to dry overnight.
Get a can of “ACF50” , apply this in every plug you can find , EXCEPT the ECU plug again. (This is oxidization protection / anti rust measure)
Hopefully we get some progress ? keep us posted!

Hi Marcel,
I cleaned the IAT sensor with electrical contact cleaner and let it dry before reconnecting it.
I also cleaned all connectors I could get my hand on with electrical contact cleaner and let them dry overnight.
All critical connectors have been waterproofed with mastic tape and electrical tape, all secured in place with plastic cable ties to keep out moisture.
It’s been over two weeks now and the bike seems to have fully recovered. It’s the longest uninterrupted riding in recent memory.
Thank You!
