Hey fellas,
My GT250R 2012 won’t fire after long hours of sitting.
The strategy was to move the bike further or wiggle it and smack the seat with my butt and it’d fire.
Not anymore though. I have to push start it in order to fire.
Once it fires, even if i turn it off immediately and turn it back on it will fire like perfect. It rides perfect. Rode it for ~3h the other day. With breaks in the middle ofc but it fires straight up.
It got to the point where I was firing my bike daily every 3h or so in order for it not to die.
I don’t think its battery because I just installed a brand new ytx14bs at the mechanic.
It’s so odd lmao. It feels like a very loose connection that magically connects once i get it to fire up or some weird eletrical loop that just keeps it from firing when sat for long. Because its not from metal expanding when hot, It’s not from the battery being under the required voltage because one time i simply swung it side to side hard and it turned on, so no stator recharging involved. And yeah, once I get it running it rides perfect. No FI light.
Thanks. I’m going to the mechanic again anyways but he doesn’t really know hyosungs like 95% of the mechanics out there.
