Before I go ahead and purchase a 520 Mod kit I was just wondering if anyone had a tutorial on how to fit the kit to a GV125S-EFI? What tools are needed and a step by step would be most apreciated π

Hey,
Do you plan to fit them yourself or are you getting a helping hand for it all or was the mechanic asking?
Sorry for slow reply today
I suppose I could make up some draft tutorial ?Β – If you see the shop page i have asked customers to email me pics of their bikes before, after and during instal, just to prove how much of a “swap & go” business it really is, assuming they have worked on bikes before and knew the process.Β Β Most owners fit the kits themselves , with the odd owner or 2 asking me directly for assisstance on a small thing regarding a sprocket orientation etc. (which way it faces etc)

Yeah, I’m going to have a go at it myself. I do have some mechanical knowledge working on cars over the last 20 years or so, but this would be the first time working on a Bike. My brother-in-law is a mechanic, so if I mess anything up he’s always there to step in I guess… But ideally I’d like to complete it on my own, just so I can say ‘I did that!’…
Seeing as there is little information available for the GV125S, I was thinking of recording a video of the whole process for other would-be modders to follow. I’d just like to be prepared before the kit arrives, with the right tools and such. I assume I’m going to need a chain breaker and a socket set at the very least…
A draft tutorial would be most helpful if you have the time to square one up?
Thanks Marcel in advance

Hey Lee,
A draft tutorial should be totally fine, i’ll do my best to send a rough copy as soon as the order is madeΒ and may even use your own videos to publish on the forum publicly to your credit to help other GV125-S owners indeed.
I like that you have helping hand should you need it but nothing like you doing it yourself fella , you got this!

Sooo, I’ve ordered the 520 upgrade kit π
I’ve just had a proper look at my bike and it actually doesn’t seem that difficult tbf π I thought I’d have to drain fluids and all sorts… But it really does just look like a plug and play install!
I think the only thing that I’m a bit unsure on is the chain tension after fitting the kit.Actually… I’ve just seen 20-30mm slack… So I should be all good! π€£
