Just picked up a 2017 GD250R and the speedometer is not working.  I tried replacing the speed sensor with a used one still wasn’t working so I have ordered a new one.  I have followed the wiring schematic and confirmed the power wire orange, and ground wire black, and signal wire as  green however the  signal already has approx 11 volts on it with out rotating the speed sensor  and now change when I do rotate

I don’t want to damage the new speed sensor once it arrives is this normal to have that voltage or is there an issue with the ECU ?

Orange wire is normally 12V from the harness.  Is there 12V from the harness

And when you say speedo isnt working do you mean the “whole” instrument cluster turns on but the speed is 0mph/kmh when riding?

      Everything else lights up?

It will be the speed sensor that’s faulty , so a new one should immediately resolve it for you

      It does happen!
