Hi all,
I’ve got a 2012 Hyosung GT650R EFI and its been in storage for a while (2+ yrs) and i’m in the process of getting it back on the road. I’ve taken it for a test ride which started really well but once the bike warmed up i ran into an issue.
Once the bike was hot it started dropping revs in the low rpm area. As i was taking off from a stop, it would lag at a certain rev and then suddenly jump up again making it quite jerky and unpredictable. I pulled over and let the bike cool for a bit and it came right up until it got warmed up again.
Any ideas on what could be causing this?

The fact it’s happening as it heats up says to me something is breaking down, now it could be any number of things the first being the coils, I however would check & clean as many connectors as you can find, the efi systems no matter how clever they make them out to be work primarily on resistance so a bad connection heating up cause more resistance then leading to wrong signal to the ecu.
