I just got a xrx 125 sm of a mate, he and a few more mates are just starting out with bikes.
This thing needs work to get it ready for a MOT and he’s got himself his dream bike so I ended up with it ๐
So time to make a bike I can ride around with him as a play thing ๐
Will do a few more posts as get a few more bits done this is just where I got to so far
Done
Full serviceNew tyres+ tube’s
Treat and paint frame
Modified air box for higher flow rate
Changed exhaust mount as it was mounted wrong, melting plastic and bolt was far to long took chunks out of the rear wheel
Changed headlight+ indicators
Rewired electric’s
Painted plastic’s and fixed
Replaced mirror’s + switches
Still got more to do just got a nice new chain and sprocket set ๐ new wheel bearings need fitting before I fit the sprocket ๐
Make a bracket to hold the rear caliper and lots more ๐ so a few pics for now with more to come ๐

Still got to do wheel bearings chain and sprocket, fit the carb (need the intake manifold it’s on order) sort out light alignment and bolt the seat on.
So not a lot left now ๐ค๐

Didn’t cut any had about 1/2 a link slack on the second chain, spins free and straight and looks good just need to get it running so can see if the math’s is right on set up ๐

Didn’t know if it would work , so far it works well

Had the MOT today failed on a couple minor things will get them done tomorrow and get the retest booked,
the new chain and sprockets have helped the bike feel like a bigger bike , I have only done a couple miles to MOT and back , will do a full review when I put some miles on it ๐

Good job on saving that RT125 intake pipe!ย – Looking good,ย as the engine heats up and cools , check its not cracking a few hundred miles later ,ย ย what did you use anyway ?
Gotta say, i can tell you aren’t regretting the 520 conversion lol.ย Leave a shop review on the chain page ๐

So far it looks good done about 50-60 miles so far no issues it’s some carbon mate and high temperature resin should be good for 200c
Not done it before so it’s a test see how it works ๐
Got the MOT retest done today and now all road legal ๐
Still got a few jobs left to do before I’m done but there a winter job.
Change dash
Change mount for dash cam display
Change foot pegs
Do final paint and airbrush
For now it’s time to get some miles done ๐ and see what else I will modify ๐ค

Glad to hear the bike is still doing well,ย I notice you have street tyres , so it will stay as an SM ?ย or will it ever go off-road ?
Go ride though!ย Summer is nearly over ๐ญ

Can’t remember what i sent you at this rate haha, if it helps the shop, feel free to leave a review on the product page itself ๐
I had combi tyres on my GT Naked , it felt weird on smooth roads, very weird until i got on the motorways to do 70+ , it leveled off , but slow riding feels like i was floating on brick 1920s roads , can’t describe it.ย I said yup!ย Michelin Anakees are definitely for rough terrains!
