Voltage is low but should light up, remove headlight & unplug the connectors & spray with contact cleaner replug everything & try again.

There’s no reason it won’t work, they are the same engine the efi stator is a higher output that’s the only thing I can think of. You have the carbs, manifolds, wiring etc should just fit right in.

It’s a tamper proof torx you can get the bits anywhere not hard to get.

The fact it’s both sides messing around says its probably the connector blocks behind the headlight unplug spray with contact cleaner, the starter switch could be the side stand switch playing up.

Sorry to hear that, they are known to be s**t, what parts were they?

If its fuel injected then you have almost certainly a bad connection on the feed back from a coil to the ecu, unplug every connection on the main loom &  spray with contact cleaner 99%this will cure the issue, some of the connectors will be well hidden

As I always say given enough time & money anything is possible, in truth the problem of designing & manufacturing a manifold is the first problem then which carb jets etc only a Dyno will reveal. I think if hyosung could have got away with a single carb they would have as it saves money so to me that says not worth it.

The only issue I can think of with the vacuum type pump is they can foul up/degrade but then they just don’t work so over pressure is not a thing.

That is definitely going to be the front ht lead/ht cap breaking down. Your model should use the same coils as mine which just so happen to be the suzuki ones fitted to the gs500 1989-2008 & the sv650 1999-2002.

They use the same air filter for the 125 250 650 the standard is more than capable of dealing with anything, no benefit from a k&n.

Didn’t realise it was the fi one, a compression test is the first place to start.

Sounds fuel related to me, carbs need ultrasonic cleaning fuel lines, filters checked etc.

There’s a switch on the clutch lever it could well be that.

It’s got to be a connection issue somewhere along that pick up line.
